Who is Health Gorilla

Health Gorilla was founded in 2014 with a mission to improve outcomes with organized, actionable health data. We offer an industry-leading FHIR-native Health Interoperability Platform and Health Information Network that allows the entire healthcare ecosystem to seamlessly share clinical data.

The data HIEs need to control costs, coordinate care, and improve public health.

With Health Gorilla's Health Interoperability Platform, HIEs can easily:

1. Ensure that their community of providers receives standardized data attributed to the correct patient with a top-on-the-line data processing engine, national Master Patient Index, and Record Locator Service.

2. Empower care coordinators and healthcare professionals with critical insights into the well-being of individuals and the communities they treat.

3. Avoid costly and time-consuming lab integrations and centralize diagnostic ordering with most major labs, including LabCorp, Quest Diagnostics, and BioReference.

The Puerto Rico Health Information Exchange

Today, Health Gorilla acts as the single-source provider of Health Information Exchange for the Puerto Rico Department of Health and operates as the interoperability solution connecting payers, labs, providers, patients, and public health officials. The PRHIE now includes more than 900 care sites, 13,000 providers, and 3 million patients, enabling patient medical record data to be shared securely and electronically.

Health Gorilla Pursuit of a QHIN Designation

Health Gorilla has worked closely with ONC and RCE for the past few years and will be one of the first organizations pursuing a Qualified Health Information Network (QHIN) designation under TEFCA later this year.
