Therasa Bell has dedicated her career to addressing the widening gap between mainstream healthcare and the rest of the care continuum. Taking her education, technical understanding, experience and expertise, Therasa decided to channel her passion for improving healthcare through better sharing of information and co-founded a company in 2009 called Kno2. While many were chasing the dollars driven by the ARRA and HITECH ACT, Therasa purposely directed the company to develop and bring to market an effective and affordable communication platform targeting underserved and underfinanced providers in post-acute, behavioral health, EMS, vision and other healthcare markets she believes to be the future of US healthcare. Therasa has stayed the course, driving the Kno2 Network to become the largest healthcare network enabling the secure, effortless, and maximized exchange of patient information that spans the entire healthcare ecosystem of patients, providers, payers and IT vendors.

Therasa is the president and chief technology officer for the company and known for three things: her focus on driving interoperability in healthcare, her ability to simplify the complexities of patient document exchange and clinical workflows, and her commitment to serve that infuses her interactions with everyone around her and powers the company’s purpose to democratize healthcare communication for all.

Therasa Bell has been a thought leader and disrupter in health IT focused on driving connectivity and interoperability in healthcare. A true inventor at heart, Ms. Bell has designed and implemented multiple technologies and systems, is the holder of multiple patents for clinical workflows, unstructured clinical documents, subnetworks and aggregating healthcare networks.

Ms. Bell was recently recognized in the class of “Women in Health IT to Watch in 2022” by Becker’s Hospital Review.
