Roger Gonzales is a public health professional in the state of Nebraska. His research lies primarily in the area of social epidemiology with an emphasis on reducing health disparities among vulnerable populations. Throughout his career he has integrated biological, epidemiological, data-driven, and behavioral approaches to understand health disparities from a life-course perspective. He has research and teaching experience in the US and in Mexico. He has worked on research projects to reduce risk factors for cardiovascular disease, improve clinical services in a primary care clinic, improve colorectal cancer screening rates, identify musculoskeletal injuries among meatpacking workers, and evaluate the effectiveness of a lead reduction program. Roger is currently the program coordinator of the social care program at CyncHealth where he is working on democratizing health data.
