Lisa is the VP of Business Development and Principal Informaticist for MaxMD. She previously has been a member of the core management team for two of Inc. 500's fastest-growing firms.

Lisa has over 20 years of experience in the development and use of health information technology (HIT) standards. She is an active participant in multiple Standards Development Organizations including HL7, IHE, and DirectTrust, and contributes in many of the HL7 FHIR Accelerator groups.

She has been a contributing author on multiple national standards for the use of digital health records and clinical quality measures, including, the DirectTrust Event Notification via Direct implementation guide. Lisa served as Technical Director for the HL7 FHIR Accelerator Gravity Project developing consensus-driven standards for social determinant of health information and currently provides technical leadership for work on advance directive interoperability being conducted within the PACIO project.

She is a founding member of the HL7 CDA Examples Task Force, a Co-Chair of the HL7 CDA Management Group, and a member of the newly formed HL7 Terminology Services Management Group as well. Lisa leads the CDA Implementation-A-Thons and FHIR Connectathon tracks, and she is a contributing member of several HL7 Work Groups including: Structured Documents, Patient Care, Vocabulary, Patient Empowerment, and Financial Management. In August 2021, Lisa was recognized as an Interoperability Hero by DirectTrust.
