As the Chief Health Informatics Officer (CHIO) for Alaska’s Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), Office of the Commissioner, Carrie Yasemin Paykoc provides strategic leadership for health information technology and data modernization efforts to support Department health priorities. In prior roles, Carrie Paykoc served as Colorado’s Executive Director of the Office of eHealth Innovation (OeHI), located within the Office of the Governor and Lt. Governor. Notable achievements include developing and evolving statewide strategy to support health equity and securing significant funding to support ongoing innovation and governance activities. Carrie has over 15 years of healthcare experience in both not-for-profit and private organizations- in both clinical and administrative roles. Carrie holds an MBA-Health Administration, and Master and Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado at Denver. She is an outdoor enthusiast and creative collaborator.
